H2Oi 2011 Part 1

So after taking about 600 pictures plus video I think I’m finally ready to post up my H2o coverage. H2O is easily the most anticipated weekend of the year for me and many car enthusiasts. Seeing thousands of modified cars take over such a beautiful strip on Ocean City is some what surreal. There really isn’t a better setting then Ocean City, filled with hotels lining the strip and miles of straight road to cruise up and down. This was my 5th year attending and it has gotten better every year. My crew and I stay Carousel condo’s and have loved every part of it. Recently the security has been really strict so we may be moving on to try out other condo’s. Anyway’s, on the the coverage.

Showed up at the hotel, with a parking lot full of modded cars.

As soon as we got there, the trash talk and setting up for runs started. Damn street racers.

Really bad shot, but this Volvo sounded like absolute BALLS on the strip. A complete shock. Something about 5-cylinder engines.

A couple of the hidden gems in the Carousel parking lot.

Better have your A-game with your car unless you like getting joked on by the peanut gallery above.

Walked across the street for some pizza and saw this beauty. It’s hard to tell but its dropped pretty significantly on 23 inch Porsche reps. This thing was SICK to say the least.

After some foolery at the condo, we headed out to the convention center, WAY too late. Here is Alloy, being Alloy.

There was some real quality left at the convention lot.

Madwrapz(correct me if I’m wrong) bagged on Rotiform’s with a off-white wrap. Looked great.

Sparky Mark and friend with really nice setups this year. Everyone is on Rotiforms!

Gorgeous S2K slammed on a set of CCW’s.

As we were walking back to the hotel, I found this hidden gem.

As it was about 4am that about ended our night. My coverage continues saturday at around 2pm, as we hit the car wash.

Everytime I  see this car it amazes me. Crazy flares and static. Pretty crazy I saw this in Chicago and here it is in Maryland.

Smooth R32.

Bagged MK2 on Diamond Racing steelies.

One if my subtle favorites from the show. Classic E36 M. It’s crazy how low these M’s can get.

Back at the convention center,  the parking lot was PACKED. First thing that caught my eye was this lowered Escalade. It really shows the randomness of the cars that attend this weekend. Things like this make it a must-attend every year.

Yep, that’s a stanced out Nissan Sentra. lol Crazy.

This was pretty interesting. Merc on Bentley wheels.

For me, this was the favorite car of the weekend. Big body BMW dropped on OZ wheels with an Alpina kit. So BOSS! Definitely had me on autotrader lol.

Another super nice 7-series.

I absolutely LOVE this Prelude. Such a classic with the RS wheels.

This Lexus was actual debuted at H2O weekend. Shows you how serious this weekend is to many.

Yep, that a small block chevy motor in a E36.

Will have more pictures of this beauty later. It’s packing something special.

This car shocked everyone. Built and painted in 2 days, sitting on 15×10 with an offset on the negative side of zero, it broke necks all weekend. It’s a daily too. Damn this EG had some road presence.

Since my father owned a couple 5000/200’s I’ve always had a soft spot for them. This one was packing 400hp.

Another Audi my father owned, the V8.

Cant help but love a rusted out 80’s Volvo on widened steelies.

Beautiful Nismo 350z on Volks.

Love the clean lines of Saab’s version of the WRX.

Bagged Audi TT on Rotiform’d RS’.

Damn, love these SRT-4’s. Corvette wheels is a great looking change from the norm.

On the subject of corvette wheels, they also look great on S4’s.

I’ll leave part 1 with a beautiful AP1 on BBS’. Hopefully I’ll have part 2 up tomorrow, with the rest of saturday. What you see so far, just scraps the bottom of the barrel. More cars to come!

Deep Pocket Stance

I think we all have thought about it for a second or two. What would a uber exotic car look like “stanced”? Sometimes you think, there must be ONE guy that can afford an exotic and like stanced out cars too. Here are two photoshops of Ferrari’s and what they might look like dropped on some popular BBS’.

So a couple weeks SNTRL and True Driving wen’t to a meet right in the middle of Manhattan. Umali throws a Halal meet a couple times a year, and with the success of the past few I decided to film and put together a short video of our experience. It was a great night considering it was the weekend of the 9/11 anniversary. I really hope everyone likes it. We are learning as we go and hope to pump out some great video for everyone.

Again, I apologize for the break in coverage, but here is part 2 of my IA meet. This post is going to cover the actual meet and the standout’s. This was my first “official” IA event, and although I knew it would be nothing like the show in Nashville, I had some high expectations.

Here is a pretty poor shot of the Unique Auto line-up.

I was walking around pretty randomly that day. This Lotus caught my eye first. I always wanted one and to see it in person with a nice set of Advans got me on Autotrader right after I got home.

This was interesting. A Skyline R32 with a LS swap.

I was really surprised how good the GS looked with 7-series wheels.

Subaru Forester on Corvette wheels. Gotta say, I like it.

Toyota Solora on some fake wheels. Not news worthy but it looked shockingly good, for what it is.

Absolutely loved everything about this hatch. Real SiR on legit Work Equips and a shaved bay.

Notice the raised shock towers, for extra lowness.

Never thought I would see this custom widebody S2K in person. Pretty intense.

Really clean EG with K20 powerplant and CCW’s.

Wound up falling in love with E38’s after seeing this at H2O a week later on some sick OZ wheels. Wound up on Autotrader again haha.

A couple of nice white Integra’s.

One of the nicest 300z’s I’ve seen in person. Clean!

Couple more proper cars.

Starting to love these classic Merc’s. Back on eBay! lol

One of my favorite’s from the show. Toyota Cressida with a 1JZ swap. Gangster!

This picture doesn’t do this car justice. Nismo 350z slammed on Advan’s. Damn does it look good.

As you can see there was a lot of quality at the show.

A beautiful GS with another JZ swap.

I REALLY liked this Accord on CCW’s. It just sat so right. I was trying to get a shot of the front, but these thugs were blocking the shot, so I moved on. lol

The ultra stanced, ultra low Miata that everyone loves to hate.

Was really digging this M45.

Here is a picture of the UA fit, only because I missed him in the lineup.

I’ll leave you with my attempt to be artistic. Hope you guys like it. All of the pictures were un-edited.

The first Hellaflush popping up in the UK during the drift allstars event. I always like hearing about events expanding and going to placed it’s never been before. It’s more proof of how the automotive enthusiast community is ever growing.

Finally back and rested up from the most epic weekend of the year, H2O. I’m going to hit you guys with a couple videos before I continue with my event coverage.

I think I have posted up every one of Stephen Brooks’ videos, but they are too good to be ignored. This one is of the recent Players show, which simply means quality.

Import Alliance End of Summer Meet Part 1

I’m going to try and post this up before I leave for H2O weekend, but I have so much going on it’s ridiculous. Import Alliance turned out to be a really fun trip. I wound up damaging my rear bumper two nights before the show do I rolled with Kenny in his Evo with Edwin. With an exhaust leak we made it down to Baltimore, although I lost a hat on the way taking pictures from the car. I’m going to have to keep this coverage fairly short, so on to the pictures.

Some shots rolling out to the show.

We arrive in Baltimore, around the show area to clean up the cars.

Soon after the cops came and told us we were in the worst part of town. So we quickly got is our cars and were escorted to the show. haha

Guys I really do apologize for the lack of content but it’s really late and I have to get up super early to work on the car. H2O is all I car about at this point. I’ll have part 2 and H2O coverage starting monday. Until then…

Yet another great video from the great Stephen Brooks. So much to say about the videography. The car itself is absolutely beautiful. The setting is perfect. Uh, just watch it.

VIP Love

Before I start this post let me clear something up. I was recently corrected on a mistake I made on a previous post, which is fine. I would be upset too, if someone thought my wheels were fake as well. BUT I have no reason to bad mouth a car or it’s drivers decision. I didn’t make this blog to talk trash. I made it to share things I come across that would interest my viewers. If I don’t know something, I’ll say it. I love cars. Nothing else matters.

Back on track.  I was looking through the pictures from Sessions Plantinum VIP Fuji Speedway Meet and found MANY amazing VIP cars. One really stood out to me in particular.

I think it’s the combination of the color, along with the super cambered rear wheels. There is just so much right going on with this car. The subtle radius fenders is a mod not really known in the states, but I have a feeling it will be catching on soon. This is one of those, damn I wish we had this car in the states, moments.

BMW M3 Wagon

Wagons should not be attractive. But in their unattractiveness us car enthusiasts find something powerfully attractive. Love of the wagon is proven here with a normal 3-series completely converted to M3 spec. If you don’t know the M3 is my favorite lineage of cars, so when you add the beautifully odd styling of a wagon with the sexy masculinity of the M3 you have a combination that is hard to beat. I don’t have much info on this build, but it definitely looks like it was done right. Add a drop and a set of classic Rotiform wheels and your good to go.
