Looking through some recent show coverage, this Beetle really caught my eye. Nimbus grey and Copper plating is a pretty good looking combo. Definitely different then what your used to seeing with these slammed air cooled cars. Looks pretty damn good.

These videos really don’t need introduction anymore. They are so world renowned it’s getting crazy. These Porsche’s are simply the sickest cars ever! Cool to see who the owners are and what they’re about.
Enjoy!
I thought this was a great video that hasn’t been plastered all over the internet. With drifting becoming as popular as it has, and with all the cars I’ve been to exposed to this season, I am really tempted in building a drift car next. They just seem like so much fun. You look at videos like this and you want to be a part of it.
Found this really cool picture of a dirty AE86 widebody and thought I’d share. I’m not sure what attracts me to a dirty Corolla, but something about this one does it for me. Maybe it’s the fact that a car that many people would use as a show car, is being used to take their bikes up to the dirt trail. Good stuff.
This car is so timeless!
Since everyone else is seems to be posting this video I figure I will. I wasn’t too impressed but the narrator did a good job of hyping the event up. It’s pretty crazy seeing full drag cars doing pulls on the highway. They would all be in jail if it were New York. lol. Giving out a trophy to the winner is pretty cool as well.
So me and a buddy have been working on our first video for the past couple days. Last night at about 3am we finally finished it up. It’s our first video so bare with us when it comes to quality. We will get better. Please enjoy!
So as I prepare myself for Hurricane Irene, I am most likely going to bombard you guys with a bunch of new posts. I posted this one up for my boy mike who plans on acquiring a Rx-8 in the near future for a project. This really shows the potential this car has with out going too much over the top. I really like the rear diffuser with race style fog light in the back. I have a beef with fake wheels, but I don’t blame anyone for purchasing them. The Varrstoen’s look great and with super-applicable offets they are win-win in many books.
Finally done with Wekfest Coverage I can hit you guys with the stuff I’ve been saving over the past week. I actually thought I posted this up already, maybe it was just a dream…lol. This video to me is the edit of the year. So much to say about it. Simplicity at it’s best. Cafe racer with Beethoven playing in the background and you can’t get much better. Serious enjoy this. From someone who is just starting to get into video editing, I have a lot to learn.
My third and final installment of Wekfest weekend leads me to the show. I always loved indoor show because the cars always look great with the lighting and sound great with all the noise bouncing off the walls. We got there at about 10am and didn’t leave until about 9pm so it was a very long day. Once the sntrl crew entered we were all shell shocked by the quality and diversity of cars in attendance. Needless to say, we started snapping away. Now, before you start wondering where all the people are, we got in during setup, so we got a lot of our pictures in before the crowd entered. On to the pics.
McCormick Place ftw!
And the sign of the devil tattoo to let us in. haha
We walked around where all the show cars were waiting, for a while and headed back out for breakfast. And also to get soaked in the downpour.
Wekfest sonnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Setting up. I’m pretty upset, I didn’t get a decent picture of this car at the show.
I’ll start off with Unique Auto. The attention to detail on this hatch is incredible. It was basically a full restoration, and if you want to win shows, this is the type of car you need to build. Props.
Another car in the line up is this Integra Type R with all the JDM and carbon fiber goodies. Another very well built car. Got to love the white Mugen’s.
The perfect car with a perfect drop and a perfect set of wheels. This car is so bad ass.
Here is the whole line up. Quality.
Posted this up for Kenny and his love for Cressida’s.
Love everything about this NSX. This is one of the cars seen on forums but never thought I’d get to see it in person. Classic.
Super slammed 240 from the Junkhouse crew. Damn it must be crazy to roll that hard.
As you can see the diversity and quality was pretty staggering.
Ok here is the deal with this Caddy. For me, it was one of the most anticipated cars of the show. The amount of custom work is incredible. The Japanese Work wheels are a great touch with the K-swap. But, I noticed some flaws here and there. I don’t know, for such a outstanding build, I would want everything perfect. Guess that’s just me. Not here to judge though. Love the truck.
Some Civic eye candy
A couple of wide body 240’s. The purple one is powered by an LSx. Such a nice swap.
The lovely rhd Accord wagon. I would love to know how he got this thing to the states.
As you can see, I got very lazy with the editing here. Super yellow!!! But look at that engine bay! Shaved with a sick turbo setup.
Some more of the Junkhouse/Risky Devils crew. All these guys ride super low. A well deserved best team award given to them that night.
Two cars I really liked. Something about the faded paint.
I have such a soft spot for these first gen. RX7’s. Car didn’t get much attention, but damn it’s a classic. Owner was super cool as well.
this Nova was really a shock to see. Even bigger shock was that it won best in show.
Sickest S15 ever. Period.
I know most people won’t like this trendy BM. But this thing is pretty sick in person.
This was the biggest surprise. Honda Odyssey, lip kit, air ride, this thing had some pretty serious street presence.
This is the sexiest car in the world. I am convinced. Another car that looks just ridiculous in person. Perfection.
Freshly built AE86 with a F20 powerplant. Super clean and build right.
I’ll leave you guys with my favorite car of the show. A beautiful 240 with a Four 6 Customs Rocket Bunny Kit, Nismo wheels, and a LSx powerplant. Perfect in every way. I want one now!
Overall it was a great show. I really wished I had taken my car, but eh, there is always next year. Now for some extra’s.
A slammed flyer for all your gear. YES!
Hmmmmm. Insert your own caption here. smh.
This was so cool! Errthang slammed.
Some remote control drifting to pass the time. Sweet!
Well that about closes my coverage of Wekfest Chicago. It was the most draining yet exciting weekend I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait for next year. Loved Chicago. Such a beautiful city. So until then….
Picking up from yesterday’s post, we had just gotten to the hotel and were absolutely starving. After grabbing a bit we met up with everyone at the car wash. I got to say, I don’t know how these guys did it. It was about 6 at that point and we hadn’t eaten since 11am. They didn’t eat a meal til about 9-10 that night. I would’ve been in the hospital at that point.
Props to these guys. Working real hard to get there cars ready for Wekfest.
This is when I started to try and get a little creative. lol Excuse the quality of these.
Fit Deez! Super slammed Fit.
Really like how this shot came out.
Did I mention this is easily the nicest EK on the east coast? SiR and Mugen galore. Fresh paint and chromed CCW’s, this is the definition of execution done right.
After finishing up at the car was we head back to the hotel to wash up and head back out.
Rolling up to the hotel we saw two S2K’s that just showed up. Yea, your looking at a full Amuse kit, jaw dropping. Wait until you see the bay. I have a such a soft spot for white 2000’s. His was rocking custom widened front fenders and a perfect set of Volk’s as well as countless other mods. Again, sorry guys, I’m really bad with names.
Want to make sure your spotless, perfect, and wanted hatch doesn’t get stolen? Do this.
We headed to Portillo’s, which is supposed to be pretty popular in Chi-town. Thanks for the suggestion Chin.
Most of the pictures are of impromptu photo shoots. This was all in downtown Chicago.
Chris putting in work.
Second spot was at a museum right across from Soldier Field. Pretty sick.
I’ll leave you guys with this tonight. Last shoot at a really nice bridge with some skyscrapers in the background. Chicago is a beautiful city and I would seriously consider going back for a vacation. Tomorrow I’ll have part 3 up and hopefully a short video. Thanks for looking.
