Isle of Man

The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy is by all means the most exciting and most dangerous race course ever. This is definitely on my to do list before I die. This is run by the Superbike racers, and these guys go all out! Narrow streets, crazy elevation changes, top speed runs, and its all done on regular streets! There is no other race you can go to where a rider can pass by you at 160mph+ and only feet away. Its absolutely nuts! Any Superbike rider that survives this course has all the respect he wants from me, as it takes mucho balls. This video really shows how crazy the course is. So enjoy!

Ah, sometime I just dont know what do to with myself when MotoGP season ends. I’ve been following GP races for about four years now, and am seriously considering road tripping to Indy to watch a race this year. Anyways I posted about Rossi because, well, he’s the best. And he is moving to Ducati this coming season, which is very very exciting. Looking throughout the years I have never seen anyone take over races and have his motorcycle do exactly what he wants it to do at any time, any track, any turn. Its really amazing to watch. I cant wait until next season.

By the way guys, if you like seeing different things like this let me know, cause I will be post things other then stanced out cars. haha.

Found this a couple days ago on the Canibeat forums. Its crazy when you see a craze like stance and fitment thats so big in the states, being applied to cars on the other side of the world. Never really thought the E39 was the greatest car for something like this, but after seeing these pictures I want to go buy and build one myself! The way this car is sitting is just NASTY, in a good way. Gotta love the flat green as well. Its just overall a great looking car, but my heart of hearts wishes it was a real M. Cant forget about the brushed gold CCW Classics. AMAZINNGGGG.

My question for you guys is, air or static? looks like air to me.

thanks to canibeat for the pictures. Enjoy!

How do you explain this picture? Amazing? Insane? Beautiful? Art? I would say all of the above. The past couple years twin turbo swaps having been getting very popular in these hypercars. Why? Well, why not?

This is a great picture.Enjoy.

As the turbos say, “peekaboo”.

Rotiform

Well if you don’t know by now, yesterday I was blessed as I won a set of Rotiform BLQ wheels. I was completely in shock and am very very thankful. Having said that, I figured I would talk about Rotiform. They are a wheel designer/manufacturer that have been “officially” around for about a year and a half now. I actually found out about them pretty early when their only set of wheels were the BLQ’s and MIA’s. Since then, they have 12+ sets in cast, forged and 3-peice. Now they are even offering custom barrels and lips for 3 piece wheels by other companies. I really love all the work they are doing. Although CCW takes the cake for most popular wheel in 2010, Rotiform was in a VERY close second. I am expecting a lot of great things from them this year.

Here is a couple of examples of their wheels on various cars. Enjoy!

Rotiform project B8 on various wheels

MK5 GTI on Rotiform Forged Race-ROC

BMW E46 M3 on Rotiform Race-SJC

A4 on Rotiform TBM

BMW E60 on Rotiform 3-Piece BLQ

MK4 R32 on Rotiform Cast BLQ

This beast has a set old school Ronal’s with a custom barrel and lip, and 24 karat gold plated centers. INSANE!

Thanks to the various sites for the pictures

Fatlace Word Up!

I love everything that Fatlace is doing. Word Up! is something started up a couple months ago for Drift enthusiasts. Every month Fatlace set’s up a big parking lot into a drift course and goes drifting. But the difference that I like about it is the it is a closed course, only meant for the drifters. No spectators and very little media. This really is for the drifter at heart that either wants to learn or perfect their drift skill in a legal and safe environment without the glitz and glamour of a “show”. I think its great, I would love to set something up like this in the northeast.

Hakosuka Skyline

The ’72 Nissan Skyline GTR, by far, is my favorite classic japanese car. This is one of those cars I NEED in my collection (yes, I plan on having a car collection, haha). To many, it is the pinnacle of all’s things in jdm automotive history. I remember about 10 years ago there were non in the states, and for good reasons. The japanese would just not let Americans buy and ship one of the most important cars in the history of Nissan out of their country. Today I would say there are about 15, maybe more, in the states. Of course only a small number of those are real GTR’s, if any. The one below was featured in Super Street magazine not to long ago. This is exactly how I want to build one, plus or minus a couple things. Old school Skyline with a modern powerplant. Yes its powered by a RB25 on ITB’s. Can you imagine how this car must sound? It simply is a piece of art.

Enjoy!

Ugly Duck

I don’t care what anybody says about these EE Wagon’s, cause I freakin love them! So boxy, ugly, and awkward but I think thats what I like about them. Hopefully they don’t become too much of a trend.

The white one in this vid seems to be on air, throwing all them sparks. Sick!

700+ hp in this beast

Proven Performance

Although air ride has only become popular the past year or two, it has has been around a lot longer then we all may think. And of course with everything we have the haters and unbelievers. There have been a lot of videos proving the performance of air ride, but this video stood out to me for a couple reasons. The comparison is done with the same car, on the same brand coilovers, at the same track, and with the very accomplished and extremely talented race car driver Walter Rohrl. As you can see with the air ride it did a 1.55,49 and with just coilovers a 1.55,77. Proven performance as clear as it gets. You can have a great looking car without compromising performance. Get with it!!

Enjoy!

Happy New Years!

So another year is gone. Hello 2011, I like the sound of that. I would do some type of “best-of” but I just started this up so it really wouldn’t make sense. 2010 brought a lot new innovative stuff. Stance blew up more then any of us thought it would. I’m glad to see things going back to the motorsports inspiration, where people aren’t just slamming the crap out of cars and cambering in wheels that don’t fit. I’m glad thats being categorized as “rice”. But at the end of the day simple QUALITY will always be something that doesn’t go out of style.

Speaking of Quality…I LOVE this car. Widebody while keeping OEM lines, and a crazy set of 18inch!! BBS RS’ on air ride. Oh and the full peanut butter re-trimmed interior helps. Sucks he hit a dear before H20 because I reallyyyyy wanted to see it in person. Glad to see he fixed his CUSTOM fenders. Gotta love it!
