360 Front Flip

Before I say anything I’d like to say that I really hope for a quick recovery for everyone affected in Japan by the earthquake and tsunami. A lot of great things come from amazing people on that island and it is really horrible to hear about these natural disasters hitting them. My prayers go out to the Japanese people. Keep your heads up!

Having said that, I came across this video a couple of days ago and thought it was pretty cool. I remember the days when a back flip was crazy talk with these dirt bikes. It’s crazy how far the sport has come and how fast it’s evolving. These guys make this look really easy when in reality it’s EXTREMELY hard to front flip a motorcycle that weigh’s a couple hundred pounds. The twisting along with the front flip just leaves me speechless.

Enjoy

Widebody MK5 from Japan

As an owner of a MK5 GTI, this car really stands out to me. We all should know by now the widebody blue R32 thats driving around upstate New York, but this Purple one is from, of all places, Japan. I swear the Japanese know how to do everything up! The car sit’s so perfectly on the CCW’s with the help of air ride. The widebody seems to have been made for wheels that exact size. Great overall job on the outside. Not to sure I agree with the all white interior, but hey to each his own. It certainly doesn’t take away from the car.

Anyone notice the gold exhaust tips to match the wheel centers? Sick!

Motorcycle Gymkhana

I swear the Japanese come out with all things cool before we do in the states, especially car/bike related. I came across this video a couple days and go and have watched it many, many times. The control and balance of these riders are just crazy! I would just have a hard time memorizing the damn course. This really is a new/different way of using a motorcycle and I am interesting in seeing if this will ever become popular in the states. It sure does look like it takes a crap load of skill of take on a course like that.

Nostalgic 2 Days 2011

Included in my obsession with all things cars, are vintage Japanese cars.Nostalgic Days is a car show, held in Japan. I caught word of it only recently and came across this video. This show seems to be exhibiting some of the nicest old school Jap cars on that Island, and some other rare exotics. Enough content to keep my jaw dropped for days. It’s really nice to see wheels company’s coming out or re-making the older wheels that looked so well on these 70’s and 80’s cars.

Widebody Love

Awe man I love this picture. I am totally assuming it’s taken at the ‘Ring, and if it was that would be pretty awesome to see. A widebody old school BMW setup for the track is not something you see everyday. The car really is perfect, and I wish I had more info on it. Great color, great setup.

Wrecked Metals

So I realized most of the video coverage I show on here is mostly covering the “tuner” scene. So as I was going through some of the older videos I had saved, I came across A newer video posted up from Josh Clason. I really love the old school Hot Rods, and hope to own a couple one day. Great edit on the video, and really great content. The shop like it’s owned by a really chill dude, who just really enjoys customs as much as the next guy. Good stuff.

Enjoy.

Also from the same Videographer was the video below, which I realized came out as right around the time I started this blog. I guess that’s why I missed posting it up, because I remember getting goosebumps when I had first seen it.

Charger Stance

Really quick post today. I’m sure most people have seen this car before all over the forums. But it just is one of those car that you don’t get tired of looking at. The picture below is one of the last in that stage. The wheels are gone, as he is going from 22’s to a wider set of 20’s. Even though, here in New York the Chargers are pretty played out (heck, even Funk Master Flex said it), I can’t wait to see what this car is going to look like this coming season.

It just looks mean in so many ways.

BMW Z4 Remix

I came across this on Stancenation and thought it was super cool. The Z4 isn’t too much of a popular car. So seeing a modded one is pretty rare. This example looks REALLY good slammed on 3-piece Work Meister wheels. After seeing this I would love to see more like this. And with the M Z4 carrying the M3 motor it must be a great driver as well.

Wekfest 2011 Standouts

Car shows never fail to get my blood pumping and excited about modified cars. There is a huge part of me that wishes I lived in Cali because they have so many more spread out car shows throughout the year. Wek’fest was the first “big” show of the season and it really delivered. It brought of some of the best, in my opinion, on the west coast. It gave a taste of what this season is going to bring and the level of quality as well as quantity that needs to be delivered in order for your car to stand out. Pictured below are some of the stand-outs, because to be honest, most of the cars in the show were amazing.

First car is Mark Arcenal’s from Fatlace. I have to say this is one of the nicest S14’s I’ve seen. Simple yet effective mods, and its drifted frequently.

As, a huge CRX fan this one struck all the right chords. Absolutely clean with the nicest bay I’ve seen in a old school Rex.

The CRX below is another favorite owned by the famed Rywire. He is a magician when it comes to engine bays and wire harness’.

Wow! A modded Porsche Turbo on Re-barreled BBS LM’s is always a win!

Acura NSX lowered on BBS LM’s. Perfection.

Below are two great examples of S14.5’s. First is on a set of chromed BMW 7-series wheels. Looks great.

I really love this Prelude. Outstanding color and its not slammed on some crazy wheels, and it still looks good! If I wasn’t lazy I would post pics of the bay and interior because its really beyond top notch.

I wish there were better pics of this widebody TL because its really a first of its kind, and it looks really great.

More evidence of my CRX love, here is a GREAT looking stanced out example sitting on SSR wheels.

The couple below are from Rotiform. As a proud owner of Rotiforms, they really make quality wheels and fit them to great cars.

The S2000 below from Alexisthemovie is just crazy! Air ride, widebody and an insane set of wheels!

Engine Bays I would make love to. Got to love the Neo-Chrome. So baller.

This last integra was probably my favorite from the show. Basically a full restoration with an K20 you could eat off of. The color matched ITB’s are pure porn. I have to say I got a lot of build ideas from this car.

Thanks to all the various sites for the pictures.

Hot Rod Dually

Wow! I honestly don’t know where to start with this rod. It’s just so different from a “regular”  custom hot rod. I love the angled chopped roof. In a weird way, it gives it a truck look to go along with the dually’s in the back. Yes, dually’s in the back! With the open frame and black chrome exposed gas tank this really is a perfect Rod. And it’s different enough to stand out.

Enjoy.
