I gotta say, sometimes it seems like the north east has to step it’s car game up. Held in Texas, this Japanese Nostalgic car meet shows the kind of quality cars and meets we need up here! It’s great that Mayday and Speedhunters put this together. I know it takes a lot to put even a “small” meet like this together. Anyways, a lot of nice cars here with a great video edit. Looks like everyone had a great time.

Enjoy!

Petrov Crash in Malaysia

On the motorsports side, the Malaysia Formula 1 race was really good this weekend. The red bull cars are crazy fast as usual and it seems like Vettel can not be stopped. I can say that it does seem like the other teams are getting most things dialed in. Since the beginning of the 2010 season I really have been rooting for the new Team Lotus (or Lotus Racing) cars, as they are back from a break in F1 racing. You have got to love the Flat black and Gold colors that came from the older F1 Lotus cars. Speaking about Lotus, did any one else see the Petrov Crash? I thought it was pretty crazy to see a F1 car take flight. I mean it caught enough air to break the steering column!

In my opinion, they need to fix that part of the track.

So I was having a conversation with a good friend about new car ideas and what we want to buy in the next couple of years. Surprisingly he brought up wanting a 5th Gen. Camaro. So I am posting this picture for him. It’s basically exactly what he explained that he wanted to do. Flat black everything and on air ride.  I was lucky enough to drive one not too long ago and really loved it. Not sure if I would pay 40k new for one, but it definitely is a great driver. This specific Camaro is sitting on a newer set of one piece HRE wheels. Great looking car.

I heard you like fender flairs?

…so we put fender flairs on top of your fender flairs!

I posted pictures of this car over the winter. But now its the spring and as you can see, its beginning its transformation for the coming season. I have to say this the first time I’ve seen fender flairs on a car that has factory fender flairs. It looks SO hot! According to the owner these are home made flairs. They looks really good with the super wide Work’s out back. Let me remind you this is a RWD converted car, so he’s allowed to rock the wider rear wheels. lol. Anyways I cant wait to see this thing when he’s done with it.

This cars stance is really dialed in to perfection.

Jaw Dropping

I live for moments like this, where a picture surfaces on the internet, and it makes your jaw drop down to the floor. We should know the wheels company Rotiform by now. I actually have a set I should have on my GTI in a week or so. Any ways, one of the employees owns a pretty nice 911 C4S and it is currently going through a crazy yet very subtle transformation. Now I would usually wait to post up something like this til it is done. But OMGGGG just look at it! It is now rocking a Flat Battleship Grey Wrap and had its wheels completely covered in anodized red. I honestly can not waittttt til this is a finished product.

I came across this video on another blog and thought it was great. It’s always nice to see a group of guys doing what they love and enjoy every minute of it. On top of that they build really nice cafe racers.

Much props to these guys.

Gates311 at the Texas Mile

Aw man. It was so crazy to see Gates311’s Evo in the Texas Mile coverage. It deffinetely was a pleasant surprise. For you that don’t know Gates311 owns a 750whp Evo 10 track MONSTER! The motor was build by AMS and everything about the car is serious business. I personally like it because he has yet to fit a gaudy body kit and crazy decals, keeping it OEM looking.

Besides that it is a great production. He definitely deserved to hold the fastest Evo 10 record.

E21 LOVE

I swear I am so random when it comes to cars I find beautiful. I just realized that I did post up a E21 before, but with a completely different look and purpose. You have to love the restored classic cars slammed on some equally classic BBS RS wheels. It really is a work of art.

Simple and Clean E36

Stance! A bet a lot of you thought this whole “stance” scene would be dead by now. It personally think it is just being refined. We are now weeding out the trendsters and realize that fitting some crazy wheels on a slammed car just wont cut it anymore. This BMW definitely is an example of a great stanced out car. I don’t know why, but I having been really feeling these E36 coupes recently. This one from Europe is really LOW and I would be surprised if it wasn’t on air. This particular one is a non- M with the M3 front. I WISH I knew about the wheels because the fit is absolutely perfect and they look really great.
