Car shopping is so frustrating! There is a specific kind of car I’m looking for and they always seem to be for sale when you aren’t looking. Anyways, I wen’t to look at a 7-series the other week and realized it’s too big of a car. Well at least for now. But looking through forums and blogs, I came across this picture and it made me want one all over again. So frustrating!
Yet again, it’s been a while since I’ve updated my Rabbit build. I really am caught up with a bunch of projects, but March will be all about the Rabbit. So last time the motor was in and various parts were going in, including the wire harness, but I still needed a bunch of parts. I wen’t scouring on Vortex and found a crashed 16v Scirocco, so I jumped on it. It proved to be the best thing I could’ve done, because I needed more parts then I thought. With the Scirocco I really should have the car running in a couple weeks. The last time working on the car, we basically swapped a bunch of the engine parts into the Rabbit. The next update should be big so stay tuned!
Some dream cars, for me, aren’t the same as others. Sure Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s are cool, but I would absolutely LOVE to own a Audi Quattro SWB and jam a 700hp+ 5 cylinder motor in and awd drift the crap out of it. I found the green swb below on a european ad site, fell in love with it, but was also shocked at the price. See your looking at a REAL swb quattro and they fetch over 100k euro’s, easy. Pretty intense when you think about it. There are some company’s that do the swb conversions and they go for about a quarter of the price. Unless I was a collector I really couldn’t see myself spending 100k euro’s plus for a Audi Quattro. So dope non the less.
There are a couple reasons I’m posting this. Firstly this is a video of the world famous Casey Stoner on the new Honda RC213V which is more powerful and lighter then last years bike. But I also wanted to show how incredibly technical a lap at Sepang is. As you can see there are no easy turns or straights. Looking at his lap it’s really hard to figure out when these guys have any chance to pass, yet they find ridiculous ways of doing it. It also gives you a great view of how much he is battling with keeping the front wheels straight. I can’t wait until this coming season, these motorcycle’s look like they are going to be torque monsters!
I don’t know why in the world I am so attracted to wagon’s so much. Some of these european automakers really know how to keep great lines while adding the versatility of the added space. I also love seeing cars that usually aren’t modded, with simple, tasteful mods. This would be cool to own, no doubt.
I’ve expressed many times how much I would love to take a Toyota or Nissan pickup, throw a SR or RB into it and turn it into a drift monster. I think it would be a dope idea. I came across a pretty random picture of a older toyota pickup with some cool fitment. Bonus points for being so clean!
This would make for such a dope work truck.
I have always had a huge love for vintage european and japanese cars. To be honest I just haven’t had the funding the build one, but times are changing and I am currently building a ’75 Volkswagen Rabbit and plan on my next project to be a vintage japanese car. There is just something about them that encompass so much character and soul. It’s a beautiful thing. I came across this picture and fell in love with it. These are two cars I would LOVE to own. Even better, that they are racing, like they should. I would love to bring something like this to the states. One step at a time.
Ah man, the season is coming fast! Yesterday I wen’t to another meeting at the Unique Auto headquarters to go over this year’s Fresh Meet and all of the events we are thinking of attending. I am getting better at bringing my camera every where so I snapped a few picture of some of the projects and daily’s of some member’s.
First off is Tito’s beautiful A4 lowered on R8 V10 reps. Noticed the roof wing moved to the trunk lid. “Dope”
This is Ray’s newest project. A very clean Ek hatch currently sitting on Type R wheels. A crap load planned for this car. As you can see no one will ever steal this car, with the thousand security devices he as on it lol.
A set of BBS RS’ waiting for a re-finish.
Rebote’s gorgeous Evo 9 with a ton of mods including CCW’s, cabon fibers bits, motor mods and a full cage. So dope.
As you can see its pretty damn wide.
Money Mike, who as am still mad at for selling the ONLY Volkswagen Polo breadvan in the country, recently bought this Canadian Acura EL. As you can see, there is still a good amount of work that needs to be done to it. But it’s very clean.
And a happy birthday to Mike and Eddy! Apparently they are both eight and it was made clear with the Elmo mug Mike is holding. HAHA
We’ll that’s all I got for today. Unique Auto, SNTRL, and True Driving have A LOT planned for this year. Stay tuned!
Until next time…
Well the spring is quickly coming upon us and that means most of us need to stop slacking and get our projects done. The winter is always a frustrating time of finding parts, fitting parts, and everything else that comes in between. But it is also a time to see cars come together, huge builds being completed, and the outrageous coming to life. I personally love this time, seeing all the crazy things people are trying to do with cars. I came across this very interesting build picture of a Mercedes limo, on air, and what looks like Work CR wheels. So freakin dope! I really hope to see this thing done soon.
