White on Right

I really fell in love with the red EG hatch that was around in Georgia for IA. When you think about it, it’s really crazy how low these guys are running these cars. It’s amazing that they can get them that low in the first place. I came across this absolutely beautiful white EG on white Work Meister’s and really thought it was perfect. So clean. So simple. I’m not a huge fan of tints but I can easily look past it.

Ah man, it feels good to be done with all that content! Back to regular scheduled programming, until next week, haha. I came across the recent Stanceworks shoot of a beautiful BMW 2002 and saw they put together a short video of it. I think it came out pretty damn good. The car itself is beautiful and modded perfectly. Nothing is overdone. Props to the owner for keeping it period correct.

Alright so I finally am coming to an end of my IA coverage. As you can see IA ATL was a really great weekend. Tons of great cars and great people. It’s definitely an experience I won’t ever forget. In this last post, I am going throw up a bunch of Unique Auto pictures. Ray put together a great crew and it will only be getting better. Below I have a bunch of pictures from the meet and a small photoshoot we did afterwards.

Parker getting VIP entrance.

Finally, a picture of Jon’s beautiful bay. Nothing but quality.

Shots from above.

Oh yes, before I forget this meet was held in the parking lot at Turner Field. Pretty great setting.

I took this shot to show how damn good Kevin’s Laguna Seca looks in the sun!

Chris

Kevin

Jess

I had to snap a picture of Ruby telling this dude Parker’s CTR was real. Homie was convinced it wasn’t. SMH! The lack of knowledge is surprising sometimes.

Posted this up for a couple reasons. Firstly to show Parker’s beautiful rear defuser, which can be easily missed. Secondly to show the different style of wheel fitment. Both cars are equally beautiful, but are both setup very differently.

So like I said, after the show we rolled to a bridge and took a couple shots. Here’s some of the better shots I took.

I got to teach these guys how to dress. What’s with all the neon colors!?!? haha

On the way back the hotel. Some rolling goodness.

So cute!! Holding hands on the way home! lmao

That just about does it for my coverage. This last picture is one of our last stops on the way home at the fireworks store. I really hope you guys enjoyed it. I had a ton of fun and can’t wait to see everyone at the next show. Until then!!!!

Ok so, in this post I’ll be covering the actual meet and some of the cars that stood out to me. I realize I really need a wide angle lens with such huge crowds like the one that was at IA. I didn’t get shots of all the cars I liked from the show, but I’ll always be improving on my work. It was a great meet and was pretty intense how many cars actually attended. We spoke with the organizer and he said they got around 5000 cars. That is a really impressive number of enthusiasts. It’s great to see so many people support the community. Now, the police did come to shut the show down early, so I did hear some people complaining about traveling long distances and not getting their “money’s worth”. That is understandable but for me, it’s all about the experience. The journey is just as fun as the destination.

On to the cars…

First car I spotted was this beautiful Acura RL. It’s pretty safe to say this is the dopest in the country.

I can respect the owner for shelling out for Rotiforms, but this car can use a lot of improvement. Sure does have a lot of potential.

So much right with this GS. The whole package and I’m pretty sure he was rocking a 2JZ under the hood.

Another dope GS. I love the different approached people taking to modding these cars.

These Prelude’s are slowly becoming more popular. Love the color choice.

A buddy of mine has owned a Focus for about 50 years now, so whenever I see a nice one I make sure to snap a pic of it. I’m sure he knows the owner. HAHA

Really liking how the OZ wheels look on this Civic.

Another shot of the LowMonroe EG. Again, this car was very well done and super low. Notice anything different about the shock towers?

It’s pretty crazy the amount of Subaru’s on air these days.

Damn I love this car. The shaved bay was a work of art.

A very clean Supra on Volk TE-37’s hidden in the huge parking lot.

Beautiful rhd EG on Mugen MF10’s. I have a love/hate relationship with the BYS rear wing.

This Kia Optima was seriously jaw dropping. Pictures to it no justice. So damn good.

Ah man it was so cool seeing a body drop dually. I want one so bad!!!

Another beautiful Yellow EG on BBS RS’. Simple and clean.

Cool seeing a dub in a mostly JDM crowd. Represent!

Can’t get enough of these Miata’s.

Pretty cool looking Accord coupe.

Since I don’t have a wide angle, and there was ALWAYS a crowd around this wagon, this is the best shot I could get.

I’m surprised this 5-series didn’t get more attention. The CCW fitment is on point. Very well done.

Some old school Jaguar love. If only it was a V12…

Would have chosen a different set of wheels, but this NSX was really well done.

I’ll leave you guys with some old school goodness. So good, but damn I wish he would’ve gotten some “real” SSR’s instead of the Rota replica.

Anyways that about does it. I did miss a crap load of cars out at the meet, but like I said, I’ll get better with it. The last post on IA will be more focused on Unique Auto.

Thanks for looking!

Back up for part two of our exhausting trip to Atlanta. At this point we FINALLY made it to Georgia and had been on the road for a grand total of 24 hours. We could have driven to Cali in that time! lmao. Any ways we made it to the hotel and started cleaning up the cars. I of course didn’t bring a car, so I snapped some pictures and wen’t to sleep. haha. It was such a relief that we all made it to the hotel safely. There was a point where every single driver was nodding off the sleep at the wheel, including myself. No bueno!

Unique Auto member Josh’s beautiful TSX. didn’t get to speak to him about it, but I’m sure he has plenty planned for it.

At this point everyone wen’t to go and clean the cars up, while I wen’t to go and sleep.

After a couple hours of rest we headed out to the SouthernFresh meet.

This is Steve Thomsen’s turbo coupe. This car is built right! Super cool guy too. I apologize for the horrid picture, but I completely forgot to snap another over the weekend.

This car belongs to Jonathan Tanguay, a newer member of Unique Auto. This car is absolutely immaculate. Every part and mod is full of quality. Great execution all around and great guy as well.

I wish I could have gotten rolling shots of all four hatch’s. But rolling with Kevin limited my shot selection.

A pretty clean E30 on Rs’ we passed on the way to the meet.

Love how this came out.

Mr. left hand shift himself!

These were Chris’ buddy’s that rolled with us from VA. Super clean 350z. Again, sorry I’m horrible with names!

We got to the meet and started walking around. A really great showout, thanks to SouthernFresh for putting this together! I absolutely fell in love with these Miata’s. It’s insane how low these guys are. I’m sure they have both gone through a couple lips already.

This Miata is perfection. Shaved bay, cage, fender flairs, and Work CR’s all working so well together. Look at the amount of lip on those wheels!!

I was really happy to see this NB is person. Simple and beautifully done.

A very clean E30 bagged on Gotti’s.

Unique Auto lineup.

Parker getting to put on his Unique Auto sticker.

Dope first Gen Mazda 626 owned by Mr. SouthernFresh himself.

This was something I was mad and happy about seeing. It’s a first gen Toyota Soarer imported from Japan. It’s great seeing one in person, but DAMN I wanted to be the first! lol

This has to be the dopest Celica on the east coast. Just check out those flairs and wheels! Love the camaro style painted front.

Random close-up of Kevin’s face and Ray trying to figure out how to use a camera. haha.

Not everyone is going to like this, but I like seeing variety at a car show. Body drop ftw!

A random shot of Parker’s bay. Gotta love the attention to detail.

UGHHHHHHH. So right in so many ways!

Another random shot of the shaved bay on the NA Miata.

After this we headed back to the hotel. On the way back Ray realized that the brake lines broke on the hatch so he spend most of the evening fixing it. I took that time to take some pictures. So I’m basically going to dump some of the better shots here. Enjoy!

Some beer pong to pass the time. Look at that form!

Damn Honda’s!!

Lips for days!

With the brake line issue finally sorted we headed to dinner and met up with everyone else at another meet not too far from the hotel.

Gah! It’s so LOW! This has to be my favorite EG right now. So right!

With dreams of building a S14 for my next project it was really dope seeing this out. Very well done.

Will always have a soft spot for 4-door EF’s. The white on white was pretty killer.

There was ALWAYS a crowd around the hatch’s, so I waited about 10 minutes to get this shot. Wish Jon’s was in here too.

Here is a pretty crappy shot of Jon’s EK.

Shot this beautiful flaired IS350 before we all got kicked out of the lot. Love the yellow Recaro’s matching the Work’s.

That’s about it for part two. At this point we headed back to the hotel to get some much needed sleep. Until next time!

Import Alliance ATL 2012 Pt 1: If Hell Was a Roadtrip…

Well I’m alive. Haha. What a freakin weekend! I don’t even know where to start. Here’s some math for the people that did the road trip with me from Jersey…we spend a total of 38 hours in those bucket seats over the weekend. 38!!!!!! Haha. But in all seriousness it was a weekend I will never forget. I personally met so many people and saw an insane amount of sick cars. The trip was hell, but it was well worth it with all the friendships started and love True Driving/SNTRL/Unique Auto got down south. At the end of the day it’s all about the community, and that is worth the endless hours of driving.

It all started in New Jersey at the Unique Auto headquarters at around 6am friday morning. And the rest is history! To give my readers an idea of what the “hell” I’m talking about is…no heat, no A/C, fixed back bucket seats, no radio, gutted interior, aftermarket exhaust, and many, many more comforts we all take advantage of, along with endless amounts of breakdowns. It was as hot as 85 in Georgia and as cold as 38 on the way back home. I rode shotgun with Kevin’s beautiful Laguna Seca blue EK hatch for the trip. It is a gorgeously built car, but definitely isn’t built for long, long road trips, haha.  Because I rode with him I didn’t get any rolling shots of the car, but there will be plenty more opportunities. Anyways on to the trip…

All taped up and ready for the road to ATL! These seriously are as good as your going to get in the EK game in the northeast.

Stop 1 of 144534985345913985797523984723984723984. Seriously…

Stop 2 of 144534985345913985797523984723984723984. Doing some adjustment on the camber. This setup isn’t for the faint of heart!

Rollin rollin rollin.

And this is where the problems began! lol

It’s all about the fitment!

We all got very familiar with the side of the road.

More rolling shots.

At this point we needed to make a more permanent repair to Kevin’s car, so we decided to take a detour and drive to UA member Chris’ house, fix the car and keep rolling with them.

Ray also decided to roll his fenders a tad more.

Ah man! Mr. Parker Made and his immaculate REAL Civic Type R. You wouldn’t believe how many people didn’t believe it was real. Why the hate??

A few hours pass and we FINALLY hit the road again with Chris, Josh, and a couple other guys. Sorry I’m horrible with names!

I don’t know if you remember, but we left at 8am friday morning, as you can see it’s now dark again. Yep, this was about 10pm friday and we still have 10 hours to go!! lmao

That was also when Chris figured out the problem with Kevin’s car. FINALLY!

I think after this shot, I either drove or knocked out, cause the pictures ended. I really can’t believe at that point we were on the road for about 20 hours.

I think I’ll end part one here. This was all of friday for me. A long freakin day!!!!!

SHREEVE FILMS / Mark Panic likes it raw

I’m back! I’m back and I’m alive!!! This weekend was the most intense weekend I’ve ever been involved with! But more on that later. While I get the first part of my Import Alliance coverage together, I’ll leave you guys with some dope drift action. Found this through the SNTRL facebook page, and well, I know how much it wants my buddy Kenny want one. Gotta love these 2JZ Cressida’s.

On The Road to Import Alliance ATL

Some of the Unique Auto members decided, including myself, to take a road trip down to Georgia for Import Alliance. It’s a show we’ve all wanted to go to for a while now. With two of the sickest EK Civic’s in the northeast we set off this morning. We caught a ton a problems on the way, and we’ll slowly but surely get there. I am updating the Facebook page pretty randomly so make sure you “like”it to stay updated.

Here is some of what I caught. I apologize for the iPhone quality pictures.

Super Street Bike

I wanted to post something really different then the norm today. Looking through my iPhoto I came across this picture of a R1 that I absolutely loved. Firstly, I love the new R1’s as is it, but slammed on air with extensive mods is another story. Now, personally, I wouldn’t go this far with a motorcycle, but I’m sure it would be SICK to see this thing rolling down the highway, slammed to the floor. You have to love the murder black and deep red frame. I would rock this for days!

Controversy Revisited

Posted by truedrivingdale on April 19, 2012

So I had thrown up a post before on this Celica from Japan with the most ridiculous camber and tire stretch ever seen by humanity. I’m sure most of you questioned the drivability of the ride. We’ll the video below is the proof. Take the serious side out of our community and give this guy props for trying something completely ridiculous. It’s isn’t something that could have just been thrown together. Sure it’s nothing any of us would do, but hey it’s fun to see someone try.
