When you are passionate about something, it may as well be an addiction. Many times it’s something that people don’t get. Heck, a lot of people don’t understand the addiction to cars. So I’m sure not many will understand an obsession with car radios. But everyone has something they are passionate about. Some odder then others. I kind of dig how knowledgeable this guy is about vintage radios. It’s a pretty cool if your into period correct restos. Check it out. Find your passion.

There are a ton of Isle of Man videos out there. But it seems they are either highlight reels or crash reels. Sure it’s exciting but it leaves wanted more depth of the event. This is one of the first video’s I’ve seen that does just that. It’s not hard to see that each one of these riders are absolutely out of their minds, which makes then the bravest people in the world. I mean just look at the speeds they are hitting on public roads. Seriously want to go to see this race in the very near future.

When you think of creating an American muscle car, for the most part, you think of building a mean, dark and badass car. I guess due to the history of muscle cars and it’s themes this is kind of just how it has been. It really hasn’t been until recently where builders have gotten really creative with color combinations with interiors and wheels. It think it’s awesome when we see new and different sides of how a car is built. Sometimes a look we would have never thought would have work, but does. The White Camaro below really shows your car can still look badass and not be black with blood red accents and a tattoo’d owner. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. With an awesome stance this Camaro is all class and badass.
I’m a sucker for automotive history, especially when it’s about such an iconic car. If your a car enthusiast the Skyline for some is the end all be all. Heck, for many years, the Japanese didn’t even allow Hakosuka’s to even leave the island. It was and is such an honored car. It’s awesome to see where it all came from, through Prince Motor Company, and the influence of the race track. Keeping up with some of the fastest cars of it’s time must have been an amazing feat and is what would bring on it’s HUGE popularity and success. And as they say, the rest is history.

I have always been a huge fan of all things fashion, and it’s pretty incredible how, just like many other things, it can be influential in the automotive world. I have gone back and fourth about posting fashion related topics, and I think it would be beneficial to the blog and learning more about what True Driving is all about.
This fall/winter season has really left me stuck on an addiction to all things tweed. The combination of patterns and and colors is really limitless. It gives such a warm look in the months where, well we like to be warm. Something that is equally impressive as tweed is herringbone and the way it is made. Just take a look at this video, and you can see the amount of effort that goes into making this pattern. Even if you know nothing about fashion you can just see how impressive a machine this is. Holy crap that pattern is beautiful.
Before I start, there are some changes that are going to be happening to this blog. Mainly a name change. It really makes no sense to have the blog’s name different from the facebook page, so in an effort to consolidate, the blog will be named True Driving. This change will comes around the new year. I will keep the “tunedmotion” domain to avoid losing viewers. Thanks guys!
I really can’t get enough of vintage/old school cars. There is so much unexplainable character in each car, which makes them attractive in more ways then the visual. It’s the touch, it’s the feel, it’s the sound. You senses are on overload every time you drive an old car, and it’s just something you simply can’t experience with a new car. What makes this “tougher” is when you see a car you love, but what never available in the states. A perfect example of this is the Toyopet Corona from the 60’s in Japan. Such a beautiful machine that it is a classic that truly stands the test of time. Lower nicely on a set of equally classic SSR’s and you have yourself a car you will find impossible to part with.
Why isn’t this builder well known in the automotive world? I means I don’t know about the classic car community, but you really don’t hear about him at all anywhere else. At his very least, this guy has to be one of the most creative, talented, and artistic car builders I’ve ever seen. And he builds every car from scratch? Seriously, why isn’t there some cool, creative video on this guy or his creations? It takes a lot to be blown away now-a-days, but this guy truly has made a piece of art. This thing is absolutely insane!!
Well not exactly. But then again…This is the type of car that stands out SO much, but ask a random onlooker and they couldn’t tell what was done to make it SO outstanding. It looks stock, but then it doesn’t. That’s whats great with OEM+. A car keeps it’s awesome factory lines and still manages to stand out. What this car is rocking are some over-fenders, some lovely rolled front fenders, and a set of Works that fill those fenders perfectly. This car wouldn’t have the same effect is it was rocking a full on body kit. It’s just a different look, and shows that with the right combination, you don’t need much to build a show stopper.
Been super busy with work again, so I’m going to leave something here quickly. The older cars get, the more they seem to become more appealing. Here on the east coast, the old school game is really lacking, and I really hope to bring some change to that in the near future. I’m always pushing myself to learn more about the yesteryear of automobilia and came across this video from Discover Japan. I HIGHLY suggest browsing through some of these videos if your into anything old school related.

Some days I really with I was better with my hands. Some of these guys who build cars for a living really have an eye for clean aesthetics. It takes a ton more then many people think to build a custom car. I mean, making a frame for a car that never had a frame is pretty intense stuff. That takes some serious amounts of skill. It so cool seeing these classic being brought back to life and made better then the manufacturers themselves. Classic styling. Vintage inspiration. Modern design. Can’t get much better then that.
