VAG Event never seems to fail in being one of the biggest Euro shows in the world. With a lot of the people staying over night, and partying all night, I can see why it’s so popular. Besides that it’s a great video. I love all of the small editing details they put in. Makes it that much better of a video.
2011

Better late then never. 2011 has been such an exciting year. Starting off by winning a set of Rotiforms, driving out to Chicago for Wekfest, getting down with the amazing people at Unique Auto, Going to a countless amount of car shows and meets, the never-let-you-down H2Oi weekend, starting my project rabbit, working hard with the crew at SNTRL, creating opportunities for True Driving, and of course bettering myself in any way possible. 2011 was jam packed with high’s and lows. Here is to all that was 2011! And here is to making every year better then the last!
There is a lot in the works for 2012. I am really exciting to see what we can all make of this coming year. Stay tuned and don’t be shy with the family’s at True Driving, SNTRL, and Unique Auto.
Much love!
Ah man, what a year 2011 has been, and although I will be making an official “look back to 2011”, this showreel brings you back to some of the excitement you might have encountered during the year. I swear every year, when you think the tuning community can’t get any bigger, it consistently continues to grow and grow. 2011 was huge! It brought a lot of excitement to the game. Can’t wait til next year!
WekFest Hawaii was literally a day ago and someone ALREADY released a short video covering it. Made props for not slacking. I always respected tuner in Hawaii. You could probably guess how much more they have to spend for parts and such. Being hundreds of miles away from the states doesn’t stop these guys from building some of the hottest cars in the world. Literally. I’m sure there will be other video’s coming out soon, but I figure I get this one out to you first.
Waka Flocka!!!!!!!
Ok, so back with part 2. I figure I might have around 4 parts. I took a lot of pics lol. I left us off with saturday around the middle of the day. We wen’t back to the condo to re-fuel and headed back out to chill on the strip to see cars drive by.
Really hot girl taking a picture of my car.
A bunch of random Volkswagen’s and one of the many diesel trucks with loads of people in the back.
really crappy picture of this stanced out Del Sol. Followed him home for a while, car looks great.
Another crappy picture of a car that was a shocker. Who would have thought a Legacy wagon would look so good on BBS’.
Stopped by a couple of really nice cars to take some shots. RS6 wagon. Sick!
Was really digging this slammed GS.
Would really like to see more of these “VIP” RL’s. The car really has classic lines and looks great modded, as you can see.
180’s were out in force. Really liked the one piece Fifteen52 wheels.
Beautiful bagged Eos on Rotiforms.
Seriously wanted an S14 after see this thing all weekend. More on this later.
Dun Buggy was carrying around a tent all day, since it didn’t have a roof.
Some people didn’t forget to enjoy the weekend. Check out the Harlequin Buick!
Dope cars driving by faster then I can keep up.
The dopeness continues.
Some rolling shots of the the weekends show stopper.
The ever-popular old Merc 200-series, bagged on RS’.
One of my favorite Rabbit’s of the weekend.
Something right about a tastefully modded Mark 3.
At this point we decided the cruise the strip a little and head back to the convention center.
An absolutely beautiful Datsun 240z on Rota’s.
I wish I got a better shot of this Jetta. I was done quite well.
Two rare shots of my own car. Notice the newest addition, R32 rear with filled exhaust holes.
Tasteful Jetta on Fifteen52 wheels.
Yep, that’s a Porsche 964 on the strip.
Two great looking Miata’s on the strip. I need a girl like these. Down to ride, in the rain, in a loud, rough riding car. Props!
Super nice Jetta wagon. Yet another car bagged on Rotiform’s. lol
I’ll end part 2 with this rat style C-class riding static with lots of rust. I freakin like it. Back soon with part 3 & 4. This stuff is time consuming, smh.
I had no clue a show like this wen’t on until I stubbled across this video. Not really a fan of the over-dramatic music in the beginning, but it does add a nice feel. There’s nothing I love more then BMW’s. Huge soft spots for these car and seeing so many modded to perfection is more then enough to post this up.
Another thing on my bucket list is to visit World Time Attack Challenge in Australia. Occuring last weekend the fastest time attack cars in the world came together to compete for the top stop. Again this year, records were broken. It really shows how serious these tuning shops are. Building 100k+ cars is no joke and takes a ton of dedication. They all are willing to do what ever it take to take a second off their lap times. Respect!
This is exactly the type of video I was looking for from this event. It gives it from the great perspective of a normal attendant. You can see just how close you can get, without any special credentials, to these bikes going 170 mph+. It’s just insane.
fyi if you dont like the beginning shenanigans, skip to 1:48.
Ok, I’ll be the first to say that Waterfest isn’t what it used to be. But with events like Southern Wothersee and H2O it’s becoming hard to compete, which does suck since Waterfest was one of the “original” european car shows. Having said that Waterfest did deliver a great amount of quality cars. We got there a tad late so I might have missed a couple cars, but I tried snapping pics of the nicest I saw.
Walking up to the show area, an unexpected, very nicely modded Honda Fit caught my attention dropped on a set of Rota Grid’s. These 2nd gen. Fit’s are really growing on me.
First was the APR booth with the RS4 Avant(I didn’t think people realized it was an RS4, nobody was looking at it) and a R8 V10 with around 580hp. So sexy!
Flat black Merc was right up Ty’s lane, even though the wrap was pealing in some places.
I thought this motor was very unique in a mark 4 chassis.
A beautiful S5 sitting properly on a set of BBS’
White on white on white on white…
Very nice mk3 Cabrio on air sitting on a classic set of Schmidt wheels. Oh, the R32 powerplant was also a wise addition.
Something completely unexpected, a Ford GT. Something I wanted to point out in this picture. The sticker booth this car was with, was selling fake Illest stickers. Cmon now, stop faking the funk!
Always had a soft spot for these. It’s nice seeing them modded every now and then.
This Audi A8 looked boss sitting on 22’s!
Beautiful Porsche Panamera sitting on a set of ADV.1 wheels.
Thought the black on black was on point with this car. I think the Porsche 3-piece twists are close to the top of my list of favorite wheels.
The europe only S3 was a treat. FINALLY a real set of Volk TE’s.
Depending on how things go, a white MK6 is probably going to be my next car. So beautiful when its slammed on a proper set of wheels.
A couple of nice Audi’s. I was really surprised to see all the B5 RS4 conversions.
I can not explain how perfect this R is! Simple yet SO effective.
Surprisingly one of the few nice MK2’s in attendance.
Two non-dubs that stood out in the show.
Here is one of the other nice MK2’s that came out. Air ride ftw.
I would love to know what this MK5 is running out back. The fitment and camber was perfect. Tons of lip and still tucking.
The infamous flat green S4 wagon now of baller Rotiforms and air ride. Gotta love the color match.
For some reason, this was the car of the show for me. Not many people were checking it out. But this is one of those cars that if you saw it rolling down the street or hardparked, your jaw would drop. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I want a Z4. The rear fitment of those Schmidt’s is lovely.
I’m pretty sure this was the ONLY decent Caddy out. Mucho props.
Ugh, I was trying to catch a picture of this early S4. It was MINT and looked so great on the LM’s. As you can see I wasn’t very successful.
There were a couple other really nice cars out, just couldn’t get my camera out in time to get a decent shot.
That pretty much concludes my coverage. I really hope this show gets to what it used to be in the next couple years.
The annual Pike’s Peak race to the top was this past weekend and there was a huge record broken this year. “Monster” Tajima has been running at this event for many many years and all of the hard work finally paid off with him breaking the 10 minute mark in his HIGHLY modified Suzuki SX4. His official time was 9:51 and its really hard to believe considering its a 12+ mile uphill course. Now, I know there’s probably going to be a very artistic video released on this feat, but I really like this one. It for one, shows a good sense of speed and just how incredibly dangerous this climb is. Not to mention, how difficult the road is, going to pavement to dirt at any given time. I have to say, I held my breath every time he drifted near the edge.
Such an amazing run.
