Group B Rally

If you are really into the History of Motorsports, this is a great documentary to watch. I posted up part one, but there are actually 7 parts on YouTube. Group B Rally racing is one of those races I only wished I could have attended when younger. Absolutely beautiful and powerful cars being skillfully driven inches from you is something that sound mind blowing. It is a real shame this type of Rally was banned. Like I have said in previous posts, I really would love to see something like that here in the states.

Boy to those Audi Quattro’s and Lancia’s look pretty.

LowBallers

I love seeing video’s like this. The first video is of a “meat” and greet by Lowballers. Just a very chill environment with car lovers. Nothing like cruising around LV with great looking cars.

The second video is very short, but I absolutely LOVE the edit and soundtrack.

Experience Japan

As being a huge car guy, Japan is one of the many places I would love to continuously visit. From all the pictures and videos I have seen it really looks like a interesting place, completely different from any place in the states. This video has car content in the form of Nissan Skylines. Cant go wrong with race spec Skylines at the track. The rest of the video shows a little part of Japan and its culture, which I think is great.

Enjoy

HPS Audi R8

Nothing much to say about this car since it’s basically in stock form. It’s just amazing when you see an “exotic” slammed on air ride. Looks really good, but I’m sure the purists will have something to say about it.

Gotta say, I would rock this all day.

Brown Butter MK2

Right after posting yesterday’s Rallye, I came across some newer pictures of the brown MK2 below. I just think the brown is gorgeous with the gold BBS’. It’s actually close to a shade I want to paint my rabbit. Anyways this car was, at first, a boosted 16valve on some black S4 wheels. Now I think the car looks 20 times better on the BBS’. You gotta love the small bumper, no fender flair look to the MK2’s. Such a beautiful car in its basically stock exterior form. I couldn’t tell from the current pictures but it looks like its powered by a 1.8t now. The engine bay is a work of art! Anybody notice the shaved fender bolts! That is commitment right there.

Here is the first engine setup.

Here is how it looks now.

MK2 Golf Rallye

The Volkswagen MK2 Golf Rallye is one of the cars that never made it to America. So, naturally all Vdub fans are drawn to them. Today I believe there are about 5 or 6 in the states. This particular Rallye is in Europe and boy does it look beautiful. Static slam on Porsche wheels with an almost all OEM exterior. The cage and one racing Recaro gives it a great motorsports look. Hopefully he gets it to the track. I would love to see under the hood.

Real Motorsports

Now let me start this by saying that I am not discrediting any motorsport in any way. I enjoy, support, and love any type of motorsport around the world. But, why don’t we have, here in the states, a race like the video posted below? I am the only one that gets REALLY excited when I see the cars in this video running around normal streets and closed mountain drives? That to me is just real, raw racing. You can say it’s more relatable. And with cars that, as a base, come from a dealership at the beginning of their life. I mean you just don’t see that type of car racing on that type of track in the states at all. I think it would be huge over here. Seeing a highly modified Ferrari 355 racing behind a modified Evo, behind a E30 drifting around the turns, behind a MK2 golf, and followed by a 70’s Porsche 911. That, to me is, racing, visual, and sporting perfection. I know I can’t be alone in this feeling. There are enough shop’s and enthusiast’s with money to fill a race like that with cars exactly like this. In the future I wanted to open a race track, but I think I’ve changed my mind. These street/road races are much more appealing. And the cars racing in them are undeniable dope.

If anyone would like to lend me a couple million I would be sure to make that happen!

Format 67 Honda NSX

Looking through some of the video’s I saved from over the summer, I came across this one. It really isn’t the manly testosterone filled heavy metal type of video. But I like it because it really shows the artistic and creative side of some of these car owners. Besides that the NSX is a car you can look at all day, especially a NSX that looks like the one in this video does.

Enjoy

RAUH-Welt

I hope that most people know about  Ruah-Welt. It has to be one of the sickest, craziest Porsche tuners in the world. If you don’t know about this tuner, take a second and google it, trust me it’ll be worth it. He builds the sickest widebody’s I have ever seen on Porsches. And they all fit and look OEM. Oh and did you see the wheel fitment????? Correct me if I’m wrong, but the rears here are Work Meiser 18×13 with a negative offset on top of spacers. The one pictured below is his newest addiction to his collection. Most of the cars he builds are naturally aspirated, so I am assuming this one is too. Best part is that they hold track days for their customers. I would post some of the other Rauh cars, but would be just too much dope overload for one post. But you can just image seeing 50 of these cars on the track together. Best part is they just made a part of their website for the US. Sick!

Its a piece of art. Hopefully we’ll see Rauh-Welt cars in the states soon.

Thanks to Speedhunters for the pics

Girls Love Wagons!

We’ll, not exactly. But its not always about the girls, damnit! Personally, I love wagons and the Mercedes pictured below is really the first of its kind. Its great seeing different types of cars being modded. I’m not really a Mercedes guy, but it looks like a early 90’s E-class. The wagons must be really rare because I honestly don’t remember seeing one, ever. This one is on air ride and looks absolutely beautiful with its brown paint and what seems to look like MAE wheels. I would love to see more models like this modded.

Chick magnet?
