I posted up a teaser post about a week ago with this car and it’s new setup. We’ll pictures have finally surfaced so I had to share them with you guys. The car came our great, but I can’t say I like the front bumper on the first picture. Hopefully he switches back to the OEM turbo piece. Regardless, GREAT looking wrap and the wheels a the sickest I’ve seen in a while! I have to say, I’ve always wanted to daily a non-turbo Porsche. With the great pricing of this generation, I might seriously look into one in the near future.

This second picture really brings out everything great about this car. Not to mention the stance!!

Retro Benz

As you guys continue to see, I really have no filter on what kind of car I enjoy. As long as it keeps clean OEM lines and is tastefully modded it’s ok in my book (most of the time). Here is another example, a early 70’s era Mercedes Benz, either 280 or 300. I saw my first modified 280 at H2o a couple years ago and loved it. This one really stood out to me because all of the chrome trim has been blacked out. A GREAT touch. Something I love are the wheels. If you notice the centers were made to look exactly like the one’s that came off the car from the factory. Add a custom lip and as you can see it looks amazing on the car. What really puts the car over the top is the suicide doors.

I have to say, I would rock this in a second.

Hyundai like Sunday

Let me start off by saying I was never a big fan of the Sonata. It just seemed like a over styled trendy looking car. But it is slowly growing on me. The example below really shows that BBS LM’s look great with literally any car. I have to say with a drop and the lip kit the car looks really good. Take a second to notice the flaired fenders. The tinted head/tail lights are a great touch as well. Looks like a decent amount of work wen’t into this car looking as good as it does. Great execution.

A5 ‘Vert Stance

So I haven’t posted in a couple days, but I have been busy on many different blogs and sites finding some great content for my blog. I have always liked the A5 and I am really surprised that nobody has bagged one here in the states, especially after seeing it’s potential across the pond. Here’s an example in a beautiful brown, and is sitting on what seem to be 20’s. I love it. The convertible has some great lines. Someone please bag one already!! If I’m not mistaken it has the A4 chassis so it shouldn’t be too hard to find bags that fit.

Nelson Racing Engines 1650hp RX7

It’s pretty crazy how the horsepower game has changed in the past 5-10 years. Driving 1500hp cars used to be meant for the track only. Not because people only raced professionally, but because having 1500hp in a car 10 years ago meant it wasn’t anywhere NEAR streetable. I believe NRE started the whole idea and movement of packing 1000+ into a car you can drive everyday, whether it’s to the grocery store or a cross country trip. It’s so amazing how they can program and tune a car to have 700hp for day to day driving, and just by turning up the boost, can change the same car to 1600hp beast. As if 700hp isn’t enough. Now apply that same logic to a lightweight Gen. 1 Mazda RX7. Insanity is the first thing that came to my mind. I love that it’s a older gentleman that owns the car. I want to be 80-something years old and still wanting to drive a super crazy uncontrollable, staple you to the back of the seat, kind of car.

Aircooled Perfection

Yet another car I have a very soft spot for is an early gen. Beetle. There is just something about a old school volkswagen driven centimeters from the ground. Crazy thing is that most of the guys with these cars don’t run air ride. So much to love about the one pictured below. Great color and on a period correct set of porsche wheels. And we’ll take the hood off to show the goods! Overall really great restoration.

Rotiform Audi A6

As we all know, Rotiform seems to be the popular brand of 2011. It’s really exciting to see a brand new company come up and become successful. We can all hope that the quality of these wheels are as good as they look. Anyways came across Sean Landregan’s A6 and my jaw dropped. Sean owns a couple of REALLY nice German cars and this is no different. He had had a couple sets of wheels but nothing this intense. This set are Rotiform’s TMB 3-piece and are 20×10 in size. With the car fitted with air ride, it looks like absolute sex.

2011 12-Hours of Sebring- Falken Tire

I have a soft spot for these “behind the scenes” type of videos with motorsports teams. I think it would be so amazing to travel the world with a group of educated car enthusiasts with winning on everyone’s mind. Its just like a baseball/football team. Everyone has to perform at their best in order for the team to be successful.

Besides that the video is a great one. Gotta love these Porsche GT cars.

Stupid Drivers

I was watching Fast Lane Daily yesterday and they were talking about how new technology is preventing people from becoming good drivers. There is becoming an underlying reliance on technology to basically do everything for us. It’s true when you think about it.  Anyways I came across this video, and it sparked a annoyance of mine. I HATE when people drive slow in the fast lane, when there is a line of cars behind wanting to drive faster! We all understand there is a speed limit, but it doesn’t mean you have to prevent us from traveling the speed we want to travel. I won’t assume for this driver, but either he/she was completely oblivious or didn’t care that there was a cop tailing him/her. I mean just MOVE! What is the big deal?

Ok, I’m done.

Widebody Cabrio

Not much content floating around today. But I did come across this picture of a MK1 Cabrio. You would usually see these Berg Cup style flairs on rabbits and gti’s. I thought it was an interesting twist to the usually “girly” looks to the MK1. I can’t say I love the wheels, but this would definitely a quality build from what I can see. Notice the carbon fiber bumper, front lip, and flair guards. Very nice touch.
