I can not claim the title as my own, but it worked so well I had to use it. It was either stancework or stancenation that thought up that name, can’t remember which. Anyways, I have a small obsession with these early Merc’s, and they seem to be getting more and more popular. Now, this seems to be a photoshop but it does show the car done in a way that really hasn’t been touched before. You usually see them either dropped stock body or patina’d in some way. I am really digging the all black everything in this case. And the big wheels kind of give it a modern twist. A resto-mod, if you will.
Just to give everyone a very small update to the True Driving/House of Tune first project. I have bought a 16 valve swap and had planned on a full restoration. But at this point I just want the motor in and running for the spring. A restoration can come later. I also want to enjoy the Miami Blue before I go for a color change. Anyways Gabe has been doing a bunch of work. Pictures of the motor coming out should come by the end of the week. Here is a teaser of him working out the wiring and ripping out what we don’t need.
I posted part one a while back, but this was a short artistic series covering the Lamborghini Museum. It really lets you observe these cars as the pieces of art that they are. Please enjoy.
With all the Rauh-Welt hype and explosion I think we all forgot what a normal 911 looked like. We shouldn’t ever forget how beautiful this car in it’s natural formal. And with a decent drop and classic set of non-aggressive BBS LM’s, it’s a look that will never go out of style. So lets take a second here and remember that we don’t need to throw on a super duper widebody to make the 911 look beautiful. Although I can’t argue that RWB is doing it right.
I’m sure I’ve talked about Engineered to Slide before, but it’s so incredible what this guy is doing. The picture below is of a fully ground-up build of a Toyota Hilux. Meaning he started with absolutely nothing but a shape and skill in welding and fabrication. This is most likely a dream for most of us, as car enthusiasts. This whole thing was built out of a one-car garage. Props. It’s a really inspirational story.
I love the SR20 block chilling on a skateboard.
Firstly, I hope everyone had a very happy thanksgiving. I am currently shopping and waiting for the misses to come out the dressing room. I figure I’ll throw up a quick video I found the other day. It’f not often that you see a good video done of a car crew. Honestly, they are usually kind of corny. But with such a large amount of quality cars it’s Level One has broken that stereotype. Great cars and a decent soundtrack to go along with it. Take a second and have a look.
I don’t know where to start with this “truck”. A body drop and complete chop top on a hugeee set of wheels. I admit, the wheels wouldn’t be my first choice but it’s pretty dope they fit such a huge wheel under those fenders. I really love seeing modded cars out in the wild, so this picture really makes the car stand out. A insanely custom truck just chilling in an unassuming neighborhood.
I’m pretty sure I posted this car up before, but the owner has a new set of wheels and I had to share. Besides the fact that this car has hit every “tuner” site, it’s a great look. This is basically the perfect EG. Very simple execution. I believe those wheels came off the dark green stanced out NB Miata, but I could be wrong. This car is REALLY low. It’s really interesting to see how these EG owners get so low.
