TX2K12

For years now the TX2K12 event has brought some of the fastest cars in the country together to dish it out. And with the fastest car, comes some insane street racing coverage. It’s pretty crazy when you think about how fast these streetable 1000-16000 hp cars came around. I mean 5-6 years ago, this was unheard of. 1500hp in a car without losing any creature comforts and not sounding like it was about to blow up? That’s just nuts. Modern technology I guess. We’ve come a long way. Every year we get to see these uber-high horsepower cars go at it on the highway. This video features a couple Lambos, a Supra, and a bike. Remember when we all used to think nothing was ever faster then a motorcycle on the street? Not anymore. Crazy!

It literally must feel like your getting raped when you step on the gas of those lambos.

Staggered Fitment

I never really understood the reason why some guys with exotics would run bigger wheels in the back (ex. 19’s rear, 18’s front). After understanding, I starting noticing some guys run them on “normal” cars. I came across this beautiful S14 with that staggered setup. 19’s in the rear and 18’s up front. Pretty badass if I say so myself. The fitment must be pretty hard to get since your running different sizes. We’ll worth it from the looks of it. In other new, these damn S14 are REALLY growing on me. Next drift mule!?!

A Walk in the Park

Although “stance” is a word many of us cannot stand anymore, there has been one site that takes the acceptation to that. Stanceworks has always had more of a classic outlook on the community. They bring a ton of quality and have created a very unique niche in the automotive aftermarket. Mike Burroughs, one of the head honchos, owns a beautiful BMW E9 and recently shot a short video, sporting its new HRE wheels. As usual he creates a proper car with beautiful fitment. Most people would die for this car on air ride and HREs’, including myself. Props.

Second Thoughts

Many of you know I bought a crashed Scirocco so I can complete my Rabbit 16v swap. I am planning on just parting it out once I take everything I need. But then my buddy had the idea to buy a front clip and weld it on. Now you and I both know that by the end of all the work and money spent, it would just make more sense to buy a non-crashed shell and work off that. Anyways, I came across this picture and damn did it tempt me! It does look like a photoshop, but this is probably the nicest S2 I’ve seen. Second project? Lord knows I don’t have the space for it! haha

I was browsing around some forums this morning and I found myself in a Jaguar appreciation thread. I found this very dope picture of a XJ dropped on what looks like a set of BBS RS’. Man I am really digging this. It definitely is a change from what you would normally see on a Jag. Props.

Moto GP Desmosedici GP12 Unveiling

Continuing with the motorsports theme, this is very exciting time for MotoGP as they are moving back up to 1000cc motorcycles. Faster bikes with the addition of the the huge weight savings gained throughout the years, makes for a year of riding that is going to be intense to say the least. Ducati recently released Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi’s bikes and they look incredible. I love trying to find the improvements made from the years bike. These motorcycles are new from the ground up. Honestly, after the below-par performance last year I hope these motorcycle’s are a ton better. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Here is a short video of the making.

GT Wars at Sebring

So this past weekend was the 12 hours of Sebring. I’m kind of upset I missed the race, so I was scrounging around for highlights. I stumbled upon this video on speedhunters and from what I saw it was one of the more exciting parts of the race. It’s always crazy seeing the Ferrari’s battling the BMW’s, and with european roots I always find myself rooting for the Bimmers. It’s a great watch and battle to the finish line.

Enjoy!

I saw this sweet EG over on stickydiljoe’s blog and it reminded me of what a ton of people disagree on when modding cars. The Rotiform wheels this car is rocking cost “at least” $700 a rim. So your looking at $3500 for wheel and another $300 at least for tires. I’m not here too say its too expensive but that was most likely more then the price of the actual car. Your always hearing people ask why we would spend that much for wheels. It’s the LOVE of cars! There’s no other explanation. It doesn’t have to make sense. I have done it once before, and I’ll do it again without a hesitation. Props to the guys dropped thousands upon thousand into their cars. It’s people like you who make this game so enjoyable.

House of Tune 67 Camaro project

Well it’s been a long time since I updated my brothers 67 Camaro build. To bring new viewers up to date, it’s going to be a full restoration and LS swapped. For a modern twist he is going to throw in a full 2011 Camaro SS inferior. It’s going to take a crap load of work but it’s going to look amazing at the end!
Here is a small update, you can see the new Camaro dash being fitted.

Ultimate Dubs 2012

What a show, what a show. Seriously Ultimate Dubs REALLY delivered this year. As expected, Rotiform has really taken over the game. Most of the show-stoppers were rocking them. I’m sure there are “better” videos coming out, but I wanted you guys to get a feel early. He missed some of the show-stoppers but you get the idea. Quality for days!
