Depth of Speed: High Mileage

Wow! I have just been non-stop the past couple of days. I apologize for the lack of posts.

Anyways, I always find myself posting the newest Depth of Speed videos. DoS is a really great web series about beautiful cars and more importantly the people behind the beautiful creations. I really love these oddly shaped 60’s era vans. And what’s even better, is that he drives the crap out of it! Another great episode starring a regular guy who built a amazing car and loves it to death. You’ve got to love it.

DC Shoes: Ken Block’s Gymkhana 5

I’m sure every website, blog and facebook page will be posting this video but it does deserve the coverage. It’s a HUGE feat to close down big parts of a major city to film a video, not to mention the amounts of camera equipment needs. Props to the production team for creating another great video. And of course Ken for pushing boundaries and showing us some amazing driving skills.

That Classic Addiction

Another post to my addiction to all things classic. This time it’s the first gen. Toyota Soarer. I love that a style of simple, clean modified cars can translate to cars of every origin. All this is a clean, OEM paint classic slammed on some great looking SSR’s. Now I could be wrong, but they do look like 14’s and since that is the popular size as far as Japanese classics go, they should be. Such a simply idea, with great execution and you’ve got a jaw dropper, at least in my eyes. Beautiful.

2012 Halal Summer Meet

Have some time on my hands today so I’m going to post up some of my shots from last night’s Halal Meet in the heart of NYC. I always have a love/hate relationship with this meet because of it’s location. It’s pretty bad because of the lack of spots and traffic, but it give a great vibe and excitement that you simply can not get from any other meet. I’ve been to about 4 so far and this was by far the biggest it’s ever been. From about 10-12am it was complete chaos. haha. Like I said it’s pretty hectic but it brings that crazy New York vibe that simply can’t be matched.

Anyway’s it was great to see everyone and I’m glad to hear everyone made it out safely. Onto the pics…

I am now realizing I need to upgrade my camera. My skills are not the best, but I do see how limited I am when it comes to getting quality shots. But I guess it’s all part of a learning curve.

The craziness.

Some girl decided to ride dirty. Yea, she was sitting there for about an hour.

Pretty dope, completely custom ‘Busa. Not my style, but I respect the work.

At this point I posted up in Times Square and waited for the cars to pass by. It’s pretty amazing seeing these cars in a setting like this.

Something you will probably not see ever again. Two JDM rhd beauty’s in Times Square. Honda Shuttle on air and corvette wheels and a pretty impressive Nissan S15. So nuts!

Jess’ EK hatch always sitting pretty on CCW’s.

Andrej and his beautiful Merc CL on Schmidt’s. Those are 12’s in the rear!

What a line up! And I believe Julio is 3-wheeling the Shuttle. Ha!

Oozes class!!

Something different from the norm. CRV on Vossen’s.

Mr. Johnny rolling down the Square.

Adam and friends with their slammed 4-doors. It’s crazy how low these cars get.

One of my favorite shots. Loving how the accord sits on Varrstoen’s.

Money Mike! Always repping Unique Auto and Fresh Meet with his rhd Canadian EL on RS’.

Beautiful 5-Series wagon.

Kevin DNK and his ever-improving EK hatch. Looked so good under the city lights.

Well, that’s all I got. Hope you all enjoyed it. Until the next Halal Meet…

That Low Low

A lot of my content is stuff I find from around the internet, but I think I should post up more of what I find on my own with local events. Spotted this static, rhd Beetle at Formula D a couple weeks back and completely fell in love. I have seen a couple low Beetle’s over the years but nothing this dope. I got to see it rolling in this low and it’s amazing how drivable the car is at this height. Complete with great patena and all. Such an amazing sight.

Wheels & Waves 012

I really love the vibe of this show. I would love to bring something like this to New York, giving a great New York twist to it. I know there are plenty enough cafe/bobber/brat style bike’s in the 5-boroughs to make it happen.

Anyways, I though this event was great. Bring your bike to a show, display it, and then ride out to the beach and enjoy music and good times all around. So great. I will never understand why we don’t have more laid back experiences like this on the east coast. Everything motorcycle related on this coast always seems overly crowded and too reckless. Or maybe I’m not looking hard enough. Just my opinion.

Enjoy!

Engineered to Drift

I posted about this Australian mastermind a while back, when he was in the “beginning” stages of building this masterpiece of a truck. What a piece of art. What a test of perseverance. What a machine! Building a car from scratch must be the hardest thing to do, but as you can see it is coming together quite nicely. Making something from nothing, in every sense of the phrase. A true accomplishment. I seriously can not wait this this drift ute is done and it makes it first sighting on the track. I will be true art in motion.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

It’s true what they say. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a good picture is sure worth a whole lot more then that. This Bus is just about as perfect as it gets. Body drop, Porsche wheels, great patina, and rolling static like it should. The amount of neck breaking this Bus must do is incredible. In love, would be an understatement.

1OF x Casino Royale

Gabe has been hard at work on his end, getting bikes built and getting ready for Fresh Meet coming up in a couple weeks. One of our newer builds called “casino royale” is done in a mix of red, orange and a light grey. Again we offer custom paint work for bike’s of any type, shape or size. This frame is just one example of what color combo’s are available. The options are pretty much limitless. Any questions, feel free to contact me!

Gabe decided to have a little fun when I started shooting the frame. haha.

Hope you guys like it!
