I’m pretty sure I posted this car up before, but the owner has a new set of wheels and I had to share. Besides the fact that this car has hit every “tuner” site, it’s a great look. This is basically the perfect EG. Very simple execution. I believe those wheels came off the dark green stanced out NB Miata, but I could be wrong. This car is REALLY low. It’s really interesting to see how these EG owners get so low.
In my search for all car related goodness over the internet, I do come across some dope stuff that hasn’t seen the light in some of the major sites, blogs, and forums. I came across this picture of a Acura Legend on Regamaster’s and thought it looked really good. Firstly the Legend really isn’t a popular car in our scene, and secondly the only modded Legend I can think of is the Purple one from here in New York, which has a VIP style to it. It’s definitely cool to see a more “sporty” side to the Legend. The white of white always helps.
You guys should be used to this by now. Stephen Brooks makes the greatest car related cinema, period. It’s only right that I post up his hard work. This one covering the Maxxis British Drift Championship. So sit back and enjoy.
Oddly enough I am really liking the styling of a bunch of the newer American cars. I guess it’s about time they took some styling cue’s from the Europeans. When I heard Fatlace was working on a Chevy Sonic for Sema it really got me interested to see what could be done to the car. I really liked how it came out. I’m glad they decided to go with a OEM+ look. With a wrap and 19inch(to my best knowledge) Rotiform’s the car looks surprisingly good. I wonder how popular these cars are going to get 10 years down the road when they become inexpensive.
This is a ugly ass truck, but I love it! There is just something about a body dropped pickup truck riding millimeters off the floor. The body line going down the middle of the truck gives it such a masculine characteristic. The body drop makes it look like a straight hovercraft!
I love coming across not-done builds like this. It really inspires me to get working on my MK1. This car has so many detail mods, it’s killing me. I absolutely LOVE the color combination. The plaid inserts on the brown seats works absolutely perfectly. And I love the slightly flaired fenders and super wide BBS RS’. This car is full of so much win it hurts. Time to get to work!
I love finding random pictures of cars you hardly ever see. This seems to be a variant of a Toyota Corolla, but it’s a car I’ve never seen before. It’s kinda like a fastback wagon two-door. It’s really cool and unique. The pulled fenders and SSR’s finish the job for me. I wonder if they even brought these to the states? I’m guessing no…
Rauh-Welt has completely blown up in the past year. For some time I was worried it would be too overwhelming for the artistic builder. Before all his fame, he wasn’t building only Porsche’s. There have been a couple theme’d cars looking like the flat black 964 that was Nakai-San’s first and last 964. This beautiful AE86 was done right. I’m sure he approves. Badass!
As cars get older, they become more and more popular. New cars seems to be missing some of the “character” found in these older cars. The BMW E34 5-Series is a car I always admired. The lines and look it gives off make for a great, timeless car. It’s a surprise it’s not as popular as the other old school BM’s. Maybe it’s just not it’s time. I’m actually considering either the 4-door or wagon for an upcoming project for House Of Tune. Do something like a M3 or LS1 swap on air. Here is one of the many pictures I’ve saved of this car. As you can see it has a lot of potential with a proper drop and wheels. Beautiful.
I think if you have paid attention to my blog, you would gather that Japan does everything better. They also have very, very different trends and styles. This very much includes how they mod their cars. If you haven’t heard of “demon” or “oni” camber, it’s basically cambering your wheels until the car basically looks like a hovercraft. I personally thinks it’s absolutely outrageous. I don’t even think they do it because it looks good. Looking at the two videos below, it shows just how hard the Japanese roll. I mean, here in the states, rolling this hard just doesn’t happen. And I can promise you they are both rolling static. Look how low they are! Take a second and think how you would drive these cars around your neighborhood.
