This past weekend was the NY International Motorcycle Show at the Jacob Javit Center in New York City. Since the winter means no riding, or even seeing motorcycles for that matter, I was excited to go. I thought this year was better then the past, as far as content was concerned. The only thing I was disappointed about was not seeing the higher-end motorcycle makers, like Bimota, MV Agusta, and even Aprilia. Unless I missed them? I like the styling the company’s are going as far as the sport bikes are concerned. The Kawasaki ZX-10 really stood out this year. It felt as like as the ZX-6 and looked great! Suzuki, Yamaha, and Honda had just about the same stuff, with minor tweaks. Ducati stole the show for me, as they do every year. The Diavel looked great, as well as the newer 848evo’s. I swear I want to own their entire lineup at some point. I’m not really a cruiser guy, but Harley, Triumph, and Indian had some nice looking bikes. One company I was looking forward to seeing in person was Royal Enfield. The old school Military style bikes really appeal to me for some reason. I would say the biggest surprise was Honda and the custom bikes they had on display. I mean really awesome looking customs. Great styling, and the best part was the builders were standing right next to the bikes to answer any questions. We’ll enough blabering.
I apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures. Crappy camera.
This Honda Custom was BY FAR the most insane thing I’ve seen. Flat Black ftw!
Another great looking custom Honda
UGHHHHH! The Ducati 848 EVO!
2011 Kawasaki ZX-10. Hot! (this guy was sitting on this bike for a good 15 minutes, no lie)
2011 Ducati Diavel
This custom R1 had brushed Copper plating. Very original. Very nice.
Track ready BMW SR1000. People keep sleeping on these BMW’s!
Last but not least, the Royal Enfield in Military Green
Hope you guys enjoyed!
